It’s the moment you have all been waiting for!
The photography students of the Moore SADI program are required to post at least one photograph every day. Here is a list of their blogs:
Class member Paige selected Sandy Skoglund as her inspirational artist. Great post Paige!
This photo was taken by Sandy Skoglund. As you can tell, she is not just an ordinary photographer. She goes into depth with her pictures, all of her pictures tell a story or have a message. This photo is called “Germs are Everywhere”, which we all obviously knew. But Sandy puts the known facts into another perspective. I liked this picture out of the many she has because it takes a normal, simple fact and puts it into an interesting picture. I think that Sandy chose to put everything in green except the gum (germs) because she wanted to show the main focal point of the picture, which is that “Germs are Everywhere”.
Cindy Sherman - Untitled Film Still #3

Julius Shulman - Case Study House #22

Paul Outerbridge -Images de Deauville

Photojojo, selected a fantastic set from photographer Jim Sanbor. He has created something different. Can you guess how they were made?
Jim Sanborn took these large format images using light projections. The projector is powered by a portable generator hidden 1 kilometer away.
Welcome to the SADI Photography class blog.
This is your first digital assignment.
Blog: Photo-a-Day
As a class, we will share photographs, scans and other images with each other through blogs. Create a tumblr blog. We will “follow” each other and comment on posts.
1. Go to Tumblr.com and choose “sign up” from the top right corner. Enter your email and choose a password and username. Take some time to play with the features and create a theme.
2. Create your blog post: You will be doing a photo-a-day project using your digital camera. Post a photo that you think is interesting in some way, and tell us why you chose it. Think about composition, light, color and texture.
From now on, you will post a picture to the blog everyday and we will see our progress as the weeks pass.
Good Luck!
